The beginning of 2017 has seen the world hit by controversy and heartache for various reasons across the globe. The numbers of homeless and those experiencing financial difficulties continues to increase as we enter February, making the need for Foodbanks and Homeless shelters even more important.
However, it is extremely humbling to see that, in a world of turmoil and suffering, there are those who seriously embrace the subject of helping and donating items to local Foodbanks.
A teacher from Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School took it upon himself to shave his head should his pupils bring in 100 items to be donated to Bexley Foodbank. Those students managed to get together 99 items for donation. Regardless of the missing item, the teacher still kept his promise and shaved his head!
In total, Bexley Foodbank received 412Kg of donations from Chis & Sid on February 6th 2017.
Bexley Foodbank would like to thank Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School, its pupils, and the teacher for embracing the opportunity of raising donations for those in need.
