Steven Preece of Welfare Weekly wrote that, “A new study confirms that the poorest families of our society are being hit hardest by continuing austerity” on Saturday 10th March 2018:
The article was originally written by Michael Savage, for The Observor, and was titled “Millions Of Families On Brink Face Deepest Benefit Cuts In Years“. Michael explains how families struggling to make ends meet will be hit by the biggest annual benefits cut for six years, according to a new analysis that exposes the impact of continuing austerity measures on the low paid of society.
These are very worrying times indeed and such measures will only increase the pressure on Foodbanks across the country to help the most vulnerable in society. Such measures means that volunteers and donations to local Foodbanks will be needed more than ever during these difficult times.
