Volunteers are the lifeblood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
Please note – Bexley Foodbank is very grateful for all those who would like to help. Volunteers are not needed at this time (Dec31st 2022) but that could change! Thank you.
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
Helping at a foodbank centre
We have over 100 volunteers at Bexley Foodbank. They meet clients and give out food parcels. Sorting through donations. This involves a lot of lifting. Helping at the storage unit.
Currently we are needing volunteers at Queen Street Baptist Church on Wednesdays 08:30-12:00 – there will be ‘some’ heavy lifting – if anyone is interested please press get in touch,
